What is the CIRS Support Fund

Olivia Farabaugh has partnered with Malachi’s Message in creating the CIRS Support Fund. The CIRS Support Fund exists to bring hope and financial assistance to U.S. residents, who think that they are experiencing an illness known as Chronic Inflammatory Responsive Syndrome (CIRS). The fund is created to ensure that those who have CIRS symptoms and cannot afford to see a CIRS Certified physician, are able to see a physician, have a follow-up appointment, receive a proper testing both for their bodies as well as their homes. The CIRS Support Fund started in July of 2022 and has a waitlist of approximately 70 individuals, and is growing daily. Each person is waiting for a grant to help them move forward on their healing journey.

All proceeds from the day of the event go towards helping those on the CIRS Support Fund Waitlist.

What is CIRS?

Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) is a complex illness caused by immune system dysregulation following exposure to a biotoxin producing organism. The chronic inflammation that results can lead to multiple organ system dysfunction. Patients will often present with numerous symptoms spanning a large number of body systems. Organ systems impacted by CIRS include gastrointestinal, neuro-endocrine, musculoskeletal and immune. Inflammation is initiated when the body is incapable of removing specific toxins, including biotoxins, neurotoxins and endotoxins. Once this inflammatory cascade begins, patients become chronically ill and may require extensive treatment. (Survivingmold.com)

Why a CIRS Fund?

A Message from Olivia:

“My journey with CIRS has been a huge personal challenge. Just finding the correct diagnosis took years of searching and resulted in a financial and emotional toll. Because the challenges are so great and vast in dealing with CIRS, I want to help others going through this by spreading education and resources.”

As I started sharing my personal journey about CIRS online, I heard more and more about other people going through this same thing; but their financial situation was restricting them from seeking proper help. One night I was talking with a woman online who was in the thick of it and mentally not in a good place. All I wanted to do was give her what she needed to get treatment, but I was not financially able to do so. At that moment I decided I didn’t want this to keep happening without any hope out there. I knew there needed to be support for people going through this when insurance didn’t cover treatment or diagnosis. So, I started the CIRS Support Fund.

After moving to Nashville, I finally planned the creation of the CIRS fund. At the same time, I received an invitation from Elizabeth from Malachi’s Message requesting an interview for their podcast. We scheduled a meeting the same morning I was starting the process to form the CIRS Support Fund. As Elizabeth and I began talking, I shared my ideas about a fund.  As I listened to the mission of Malachi’s Message, it became clear we needed to collaborate to tackle this critical health issue. I am so proud and honored to team up with the kind-hearted and passionate group at Malachi’s message to offer a CIRS Support Fund. Together we can help make testing and treatment possible for more CIRS warriors of the world and bring help, hope and healing to those battling the impact of toxic mold exposure. And, with your support, we CAN do just that! A heartfelt THANK YOU!!!
